That's right, Speechie Keen is back.I cancelled my last blog over at wordpress.com. The decision was difficult. The content of the blog wasn't going in the direction that I wanted. I was losing motivation and I wasn't devoting the time necessary to write and respond to posts. The wordpress.com software frustrated me terribly.
Thanks to those of you who left email messages mourning the demise of my original blog. Your messages have inspired me to keep going and keep writing.
I don't think I fully appreciated how powerful and interesting the blogging medium actually is. My preference is to read blogs, not to write one. I need to do more writing myself, there's so much in my head that's interesting and relevant.
The good news is that I'm back. This time I want to make posts shorter, easier and encourage more interaction from my readers.

It's been awhile since I've posted. I'm doing great, spring is around the corner and (hopefully) some warmer weather as well. I have much to talk about and I look forward to getting my thoughts and ideas out there for people to read.
So let's continue the journey, to explore the profession of Speech Pathology with a critical eye and to hear about the working life of a speechie working in an Australian hospital.

Nice to see you back online Speechie Keen! I was an avid reader of the first incarnation of your blog (I emailed you when it disappeared :)), and look forward to hearing your new spin. :)
Glad to see your back! I'm an undergrad SLP student in the US. I found your blog sometime this summer and really enjoyed reading through archived posts. I'm looking forward to new content.
